When the QEII, Caronia, QM2, Arcadia, Aurora, Sea Princess, Oriana,
Oceana, Ocean Village, Legend of the Seas, Disney Ship come into Port
the views from both properties are absolutely breathtaking. There is
no waiting around for these icons to arrive you are always on the spot.
The activity on the water is abundant, with ferries, catamarans, ribs,
fishing boats, sailing boats and alike. There is never a dull moment!
Hythe has good motorway links via the A326 to the M3/M27, and its unique links to Southampton via the Hythe Ferry can’t be matched. You can be in the heart of London within 2 hours using the Ferry, linking the free bus and train.
The New Forest is on the boundary of Hythe and there are many coastal and in-land areas of interest to visit.
Owner Lynne's comments: When I lived at Waterside Retreat, Sir
Christopher Court I thought I'd died and gone to
heaven, I never shut my curtains, there was always something going on,
on the water, small pleasure boats, large commercial and cruise liner
shipping, firework displays to be seen from leaving cruise ships, maiden
voyages to watch.
I spent most of the summer months eating al fresco and then on cooler nights I would move to the settee, which is positioned by the French doors so that I didn’t miss anything!
When you wake up in the morning, if you leave the curtains open in the master bedroom you will see the sun rising and the water rippling, its an unbelievable sight! This balcony is really useful as well for watching fireworks and leaving cruise ships.
I thought it only natural to make the recent purchase of the Lantern Building as a holiday home to add to the choice of Waterfront accommodation being offered in this unique setting!
Both properties are tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, and they enjoy the sea air, al fresco dining, the tranquil sound of lapping waves, friendly village life, convenience, breathtaking views and non-stop boating activity!
